The Keygen Music Archive

The Keygen Music ArchiveChiptunes / tracker formats / the gear that makes them

The archive

The scene’s music, and the gear it’s made on.

Short looping chiptunes bundled with keygens and intros, the tracker formats they were written in, and the hardware and software people still use to make them.

Written for listeners who want the history straight, and for musicians who want to sit down and actually make something in the style.

Latest from the desks

Newest first: gear reviews and tool walkthroughs from the same three desks that keep the archive — the keyboards, controllers, interfaces and software this music actually gets made on.
